A Few Simple Rules To Follow For Internet Marketers
Rule of Thumb to Internet Marketing
The method to the “madness” of Internet marketing is
confusing to most of us. If you’re Internet savvy, you
share the belief that “Internet websites must be filled with
keyword enriched content”. This isn’t necessarily correct.
Internet content needs to flow properly, make sense, and
read easily; not consist of staggered keywords. Content is
THE KEY!
Writing a lot of articles to help sell our products or
services is not something that many of us have time to do.
Some of us, however, just plain do not have what it takes
to write quality articles.
Never try to fix what is not broken. Rather, use these
four ideas to help liven up your Internet marketing copy.
One: Humorous Quotes are Always a Good Idea
Create a web page dedicated to famous and funny quotes.
People often overlook this simple method of drawing traffic
to their site. Use specialty books like: “Great Quotes from
Great Leaders” by Peggy Anderson (Editor); and Michael McKee
(Illustrator). You can begin by typing famous quotes into a
search engine like Google. This will also lead you to
websites that host famous and funny quotations.
You have to dedicate some time to research available
material so that you can find the perfect quote. Either
copy the material and paste it to your web page or have
someone else do this for you. Then, add a link to your
company website and wait for the traffic to generate.
Two: Existing Internet Articles
It is rare for online copyright laws to be enforced so feel
free to copy text, rewrite, and ultimately sell the
material you locate. Pouring money into a copyright
website is often not practical for a small business.
However, at the end of the day, you do win. It is often
simpler to research a topic and rewrite copy than to do
everything on your own.
It is unethical to “steal” the material, but it isn’t
uncommon to use the material as a resource.
3.~Use Directory Pages
The Internet has grown in popularity over the years because
it provides easy access to a directory of information.
Internet users search continuously for topics on history,
self-improvement, products, and services. Each link they
follow takes them one-step closer to finding the material
they need. How much more traffic would your website pull in
if you added a “directory page” to it? More than you
can imagine.
Including a directory means that your site is up there next
to the search engine directories. Your site is also more
likely to be added as a bookmark so people are likely to
pay a return visit. Naturally, it would not do for you to
lead surfers away from your own site. That is why you want
to add links to sites that are not in competition with you
and this will in turn increase traffic.
Nothing Beats Free Content
The BIGGEST TIME SAVER you can use is “other people’s
material”. Stop wasting valuable time writing, when
thousands of writers are begging you to use their articles
and e-books. With online directories, it is easy to find
authors that want to help you market your website.
Internet authors are there to assist you, providing that you
give credit where credit is due. Check out www.arciticlecity
..com for example. Sharing links or adding a credit link
works.
In the end, you will have a fully functional site with less
problems and in record time. Content is critical to the
success of your website as are the keywords that help make
them. Why should you worry about writing it yourself with
so many way to obtain content almost immediately. Just
look around, you will find it!
